From a student revue orchestra to any ensemble
Divisi App started as the score workflow for Skule Nite — a large student-run production with new orchestrations written for every song. The same problems show up in any ensemble that juggles versions, parts, and deadlines.
Who it’s for
Arrangers, music directors, and librarians who need the latest released score in front of musicians — without losing working drafts, and without re-engraving every revision by hand.
MuseScore is the primary format today. Broader file support (including MusicXML and PDF-oriented workflows) is on the roadmap so Divisi can meet ensembles where they already work.
The engraving behind it
Divisi is built by Nicholas Biancolin, who engraves and prepares musical theater scores and parts in Toronto. That includes the band book for Little Astronaut at Toronto Fringe 2026 — a new musical with a 15-piece ensemble — alongside the student-revue workflow that started at Skule Nite.
The formatter’s defaults come from that pit work: readable under a stand light, consistent across a show, and fast enough to re-release when the chart changes. More on the engraving page.

Is Free really free forever?
Yes. Free does not expire. You get one editable ensemble you own, up to fifteen arrangements, unlimited members, and full features inside that cap. One big show can unlock with a $3 CAD / month ensemble add-on; solo creators go Individual ($10 CAD / mo or $96 / year); schools and companies with multiple MDs should contact us for Team — see pricing.
How do I sign in?
Create an account with email and password, or continue with Google or Discord. You can also try the standalone part formatter without signing in.
Do I need MuseScore?
Automated engraving and the deepest workflow are MuseScore-first today. Version organization for other software and PDFs is coming. Engraving automation for other notation programs is not guaranteed.
Where did Divisi begin?
Skule Nite — University of Toronto Engineering’s sketch comedy revue — needed reliable score versions and part distribution under deadline pressure. Divisi App is that toolkit, opened up for any ensemble with the same job.
